Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina has made the decision to no longer cover Sacroiliac Joint Injections. This procedure has been an integral part of interventional treatment for over 20 years and BCBS’s decision is outside of industry standards as many other insurance carriers- including Medicare, Tricare, Medicaid, Worker’s Compensation, etc. – cover the Sacroiliac Joint Injections.
As an interventional pain practice, we are greatly disappointed by BCBS’s decision and the impact it will ultimately have on you and your associated treatment plan.
We have expressed our frustration with Blue Cross Blue Shield and invite you to do the same:

As a private practice, we pride ourselves in offering quality care at an affordable cost – regardless of insurance carriers. With that mission in mind, we are able to offer you access to the above referenced procedures at a discounted self-pay rate.
If you have questions about the self-pay rate or payment plan options, please call out Billing Department at 843-818-1181, option #5.
