WHEN SHOULD I GO TO THE ER FOR CHRONIC PAIN?

WHAT ARE PAIN COPING TECHNIQUES?

Pain management techniques can include physical therapies, such as cold packs, heating pads, massage, hydrotherapy, and exercise; psychological therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, meditation, and prescribed medicines, mind and body techniques, such as acupuncture, and participating in community support groups.

HOW LONG IS A PAIN MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENT?

Your initial visit with your pain specialist will last approximately 30 minutes. This appointment will allow us to evaluate your condition and recommend a combination of procedures and/or therapies to treat your chronic pain. What else should new patients expect?
